HERBAL REMEDIES

Herbs had been used in ancient world as an incomparable cure foe various ailment and can still apply in our days. There are thousands of remedies one can derived from herbs. Herbs can also be combined to get another effect which could be more beneficial depending on the kinds of herbs and the ailment being treated. The following are some of the effective herbal remedies being used today:
GARLIC - Garlic is an antibiotic with anti-viral properties. It treats cholesterol, pile and prevents blood clots that cause heart attack. It could be used as seasoning for meat, fish and food in general. For tea, steep 6 cloves in a cup of cool water for 6 hours.
GINSENG - This stimulates the immune system and protects the liver from toxins and. It also aids the glowing of the skin.
BITTER LEAVE – It cleanses the blood and allows for easy flow of blood. It also helps in detoxification process. Take half a glass cup per day.
GINGER - prevents motion sickness and internal blood clots that cause heart attack. Make into juice and drinks on daily basis. 2 teaspoons powdered or grated root can be added to tea To treat motion sickness, take 2 to 3 capsules of 500 mg 30 minutes before departure.
GOLDENSEAL - This contains antibiotic. To prepare tea, ½ to 1 teaspoon powdered root per cup. Steeped for 10 minutes. Drink up to 2 cups per day.
RASPBERRY LEAF. - This is for treating morning sickness, uterine irritability and prevents threatened miscarriage due to pregnancy. For tea, 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup, steeped for 10 minutes and drink up to 3 cups per day.
PEPPERMINT - This is for indigestion and aids in relaxation. To make tea for indigestion, 1 teaspoon fresh or 2 teaspoons dried per cup. Steep for 10 minutes. Take up to 3 cups per day. For bath, fill cloth bag with dried or fresh leaves and run water over it.

EXCESSIVE SWEATING

Sweating is a body mechanism to help us cool down. However when this comes excessively, then there is a problem which is medically know as HYPERHIDROSIS.

Primary hyperhidrosis is a problem with the nervous system। A person sweats profusely in one area of the body or another such as the feet, under the arms, the head, palms of the hands, or any other area of the body where sweat glands reside।

Secondary hyperhidrosis is usually caused by an underlying cause. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO EAT RIGHT

Eating right has a lot of positive impact on our health, people who do not eat right often develop malnutrition. This could be general malnutrition or under malnutrition from not eating enough of any kind of food or from not eating the right kinds of food. Anyone can develop general malnutrition but it is very dangerous for children, women and elderly people.

WOMEN of child-bearing age need extra food to stay healthy, to have healthy babies and to do their daily woks especially if they are pregnant.

Children also need a lot of different kind of food for growth. When these are lacking, it may result into various sicknesses and if care is not taking may result into death. A malnourished child does not grow well but thinner and shorter than other children, cry a lot, irritable , play less, get sick more often, and may easily loose weight.

Elderly people often loose their teeth and taste for food still, they need to eat well in order to stay healthy.

WHY IS SLEEP IMPORTANT?

Lack of sleep can be caused by emotional troubles, such as feelings of sadness and depression. Sleep helps keep us physically healthy but when someone is not getting enough of it there bounds to be problems such as headaches, weakness, inactiveness and the likes. These could slow down responses and concentration. We all need to sleep for at least 8 hours on daily basis to enhance good performance of every of our activities and also to be healthy.

Signs that you are not getting enough sleep
• feelings of depression
• Struggling to wake up from bed in the morning
• inability to concentrate during the day
• falling asleep during the day•

How To Get More Sleep?
Relax your mind. Avoid horror, scary, television shows right before bed

• Exercise regularly. Do not exercise right before bed, it can make it harder to fall asleep, exercising 5 or 6 hours before bedtime (in late afternoon) may help you sleep very well.

• Set a regular bedtime. When your body get used to going to bed at the same time each night and waking up at the same time every day make your body to be in control and to establish sleep patterns. So try to stick to your sleep schedule even on weekends.

• Avoid drinking beverages with caffeine, such as soda and coffee, after 4 PM. Smoking and drinking alcohol in the evening can also affect your sleep in the night.

• Avoid stimulants. Drinking alcohol in the evening can make you restless and wake up during the night.

• Right sleeping environment. Human beings tends to sleep best in a dark room that is slightly on the cool side. Lots of noise can be a sleep turnoff, too.

• Wake up with bright light. Bright light in the morning signals to your body that it's time to get going.
